If you assume that maintenance isn't a cost issue with these cars, these are all good choices for collectible cars that will appreciate and be respectable without being too dangerous.
....but in reality, at a teen's budget they're just going to fall apart from needing constant repairs. These are some unreliable wheels they chose.

As in 50% of the cars I couldn't even find on Craigslist and the other 50% I would not recommend for use by an inexperienced driver.
